JYP엔터테인먼트(이하 JYP) 신인 보이그룹 NEXZ(넥스지)가 5월 20일 데뷔 싱글 'Ride the Vibe'(라이드 더 바이브)를 발표한다.


NEXZ는 "Z세대 멤버들의 음악과 퍼포먼스로 다음 시대를 연다"는 포부를 'Next Z(G)eneration'으로 축약해 팀명에 담았다. 토모야, 유우, 하루, 소 건, 세이타, 휴이, 유키 일곱 멤버는 감각적인 테이스트가 느껴지는 음악으로 글로벌 리스너들 마음의 문을 두드린다.


NEXZ는 2023년 JYP와 일본 최대 음반사 소니뮤직이 합작한 오디션 프로그램 '니지 프로젝트'(Nizi Project) 시즌 2를 통해 탄생한 그룹으로 댄스, 가창력, 스타성을 겸비하고 열정을 인정받은 멤버들로 구성됐다. JYP 대표 프로듀서이자 '니지 프로젝트' 심사위원 박진영이 작사, 작곡한 파이널 스테이지 미션곡 'Miracle'(미라클)은 발매 당일 오리콘 데일리 디지털 싱글 랭킹을 비롯해 아이튠즈, 라인 뮤직, AWA, mu-mo, 라쿠텐 뮤직 등 현지 음원 사이트 정상을 차지했다. 'Miracle' 한국어 버전도 일본 아이튠즈 K팝 차트 1위를 기록해 두 버전 음원 모두 최정상에 오르며 응원을 받았다.
