‘믿듣밴’ 원위(ONEWE)가 오는 4월 17일 약 1년 3개월 만에 완전체 세 번째 미니앨범 'Planet Nine : ISOTROPY’로 돌아온다. 원위는 용훈(메인보컬), 강현(기타), 하린(드럼), 동명(보컬/키보드), 기욱(랩/베이스)으로 구성된 실력파 밴드로, 데뷔 이래 자타가 인정하는 독보적인 음악성과 꾸준한 음악적 성장을 보여주며 글로벌 대세 밴드로 자리 잡았다.

세 번째 미니앨범 'Planet Nine : ISOTROPY’는 원위만의 독보적인 음악 세계를 보여줬던 'Planet Nine 시리즈’의 연장선이다. 'Planet Nine : ISOTROPY’는 상태가 바뀌어도 성질은 변하지 않는다는 의미를 가지고 있는 ‘ISOTROPY’를 메인 키워드로 잡아, 원위만의 아이덴티티를 유지하면서도 다섯 명의 멤버들의 더욱 발전된 모습을 담아냈다. 이번 앨범 또한 멤버 모두가 곡 작업에 참여, 전곡 자작곡으로 이루어져 아티스트로서의 높은 음악적 역량을 보여줄 예정이다. 

타이틀곡 ‘추억의 소각장 (Beautiful Ashes)’는 용훈, 기욱이 참여한 곡으로, 슬픈 가사 내용과 상반되는 아름다운 멜로디가 특징이다. 원위만의 아련하고 벅차오르는 밴드 사운드와 함께 완벽한 기승전결을 담은 편곡으로 몰아치는 그리움과 후회를 가감 없이 표현했다. 

이번 세 번째 미니앨범 'Planet Nine : ISOTROPY’는 타이틀곡 ‘추억의 소각장 (Beautiful Ashes)’을 포함해, 강렬한 기타 사운드가 매력적인 ‘Shoot It Out’, 한여름 밤 몽글거리는 마음을 표현한 ‘한여름 밤 유성우 (Meteor Shower)’, 담백하면서도 아름다운 진심을 담은 '별 세는 너 (Count the stars)', 낭만적인 가사와 재지한 블루스 리듬이 포인트인 ‘Kiss in the Rain’ 그리고 우리의 순간들을 그리며 영원히 함께하길 약속하는 '다시 만나서 반가워 (Pleasant)'까지 총 6곡으로 구성되어 있으며, 멤버 각자의 자작곡이 수록되어 있는 만큼 다채로운 매력을 보여줌과 동시에 원위만의 독보적인 음악적 정체성을 입증할 예정이다.

가득한 공허함과 소란스러운 적막, 역설이 난무한 이곳 추억의 소각장. 
애매하게 그을린 우리의 흔적은 잿빛을 띄고도 이토록 아름답다. 
마치 독백과 같은 첫 마디를 시작으로 완벽한 기승전결을 담은 편곡은 몰아치는 그리움과 후회를 가감 없이 표현한다.
이제는 느낄 수 없는 그때의 온기를 떠올리며 타오르는 추억을 날려 보낸다.

날카롭게 파고드는 기타 사운드가 너를 향해 강렬한 신호를 쏘아 올리고 묵직하면서도 날렵한 베이스와 드럼 비트는 그 끝에 닿기 위해 끝없이 퍼져간다.

하행과 상행을 반복하는 피아노 라인은 걷잡을 수 없이 사랑에 빠진 마음을 나타내고, 후반부의 화려한 기타 솔로는 떨어지는 유성우의 찬란함을 표현한다.

공간감 있는 사운드를 기반으로 몽환적이면서도 빈틈없는 연주가 곡의 정서를 가득 채우고 담백하면서도 아름다운 문장들은 그 속에 담긴 진심을 더욱 깊숙이 표현한다.

레트로한 피아노 코드의 아르페지오와 재지한 블루스 리듬은 얼어버린 마음에 따듯한 온기를 주고 그 위로 흐르는 낭만적인 가사가 울고 있던 어제의 나를 위로한다.

곡의 시작을 알리는 신디사이저 사운드가 새로운 출발선의 신호탄을 알리고 쉴 틈 없이 달리는 드럼 비트는 앞으로 나아갈 우리들의 질주와도 같다.
