[TRUST ME]는 유겸의 첫 번째 정규앨범으로 앨범명 ‘TRUST ME’는 유겸이 직접 쓴 가사, 타투 등을 통해 데뷔 이후 팬들에게 지속적으로 전해온 말이자, 솔로 아티스트로서 성장하고 있는 현재 자신의 행보를 믿고 지켜봐달라는 의미와 더불어 어떤 상황에서도 자신을 믿고 나아가겠다는 의미를 담았다.
이번 앨범은 2곡의 타이틀곡을 포함 총 14곡이 수록되었으며, 앞서 여러 곡에서 호흡을 선보인 그레이를 비롯 챈슬러, 노이즈마스터민수, DJ웨건 등 다채로운 프로듀서진과 함께했다. 앞서 발표한 곡들과 달리 앨범 전반적으로 듣고 따라 부르기 쉬운 멜로디와 사운드의 이지리스닝 곡들로 구성하여 유겸의 단단한 미성의 매력적인 보이스가 더욱 돋보이는 점이 특징이다.
비주얼적으로는 갓세븐과 팬덤 ‘아가새(IGOT7)’를 상징하는 색인 ‘그린’과, 팬들에게 유겸을 상징하는 ‘민들레’의 ‘옐로우’를 키 컬러로 하여 의미를 담았으며, 더욱 넓어진 음악적 스펙트럼과 함께 다채로운 색감의 캐주얼한 스타일링과 무드로 유겸의 새로운 매력을 만나볼 수 있다.
[TRUST ME] is YUGYEOM's first full-length album. The album name 'TRUST ME' is a message that YUGYEOM has continuously conveyed to his fans since his debut through his own written lyrics, tattoos, etc., and asking to be trusted and watched over his current growth as a solo artist, and it contains a message of believing in himself and moving forward no matter the situation.
This album contains 14 tracks, including 2 title tracks, and features a variety of producers including GRAY who previously collaborated on several songs, CHANCELLOR, noisemasterminsu, and DJ Wegun. Unlike the previously released tracks, the album is composed of easy-listening tracks with simple melodies and sounds that are easy to listen to and sing along to, it shows YUGYEOM's strong, but sweet and attractive voice that stands out even more.
Visually, the key colors are 'green' which symbolizes GOT7 and the fandom 'IGOT7' and 'yellow' which is the color of 'dandelion' which represents YUGYEOM to fans. You can see YUGYEOM's new charm with wider musical spectrum, colorful, casual styling and humorous, lively mood.
