지난 4월, 괴물 신인의 타이틀을 거머쥐며 핫 데뷔를 한 신예 rookie XODIAC(소디엑)이 1st Single Album <ONLY FUN>을 발매한다. 선공개 곡으로 발매되었던 강렬하면서도 키치한 비트의 곡 ‘LEMONADE’와 타이틀곡 ‘ONLY FUN’이 수록되었다.

 

‘ONLY FUN’은 Jackson5를 연상시키는 복고풍의 밝은 곡으로 청춘의 즐거움과 축제를 표현한 가사가 특징이다. Aespa ‘Iconic’, Twice ’Happy Happy’ 등에 참여한 Val Del Prete와 Victor Sagfors, Mike Macdermid가 작곡에 참여, Nct127 ’freeze’, 아이브 ‘I Want’에 참여한 오유원, CLEF CREW가 작사에 참여하여 흥겨운 코러스에 뮤지컬 ‘그리스’를 연상하게 하는 설레는 가사로 돋보이게 표현하였다.

 

특히 ‘ONLY FUN’의 MV는 Dolby Atmos 음원을 통한 공간 음향을 지원하며, XODIAC의 밝은 에너지를 한껏 끌어올리는데 주력했고 바닥 쓸기, 핸드폰 사운드, 천 펄럭이는 소리 등 효과음까지 추가해 더 다채롭게 만들었다. 강렬한 비트를 선보였던 ‘LEMONADE’와는 정반대되는 에너지로 다시 한번 대중들에게 괴물신인다운 행보를 보여주며 5세대 보이그룹의 선발주자로서의 면모를 확실히 쌓아갈 예정이다.
