제이창이 10월 17일 첫 미니앨범 [Late Night] 로 데뷔했다. Mnet 보이그룹 서바이벌 오디션 프로그램 ‘보이즈플래닛’으로 글로벌 팬들의 선택을 받아 최종 10위를 달성한 제이창은 첫 미니앨범 [Late night]을 통해 만능 보컬리스트로서의 진가를 다시 한번 확인시켜 줄 것으로 보인다.
제이창은 타이틀곡부터 수록곡까지 앨범 전곡 작사에 참여했으며, 탁월한 보컬, 악기 실력은 물론 꾸준히 작사, 작곡을 해온만큼 이번 데뷔 앨범을 통해 폭넓은 음악 스펙트럼을 보여줄 예정이다.

너와나 주인공이 되는 무대위로 초대할게 ‘Rockstar’
제이창은 첫 번째 미니앨범 [Late Night]에서 오랫동안 기다려왔던 팬들에게 선물같은 곡으로 제이창의 캐치 프레이즈인 “나는 너만의 Rockstar”에서 시작된 제이창의 아이덴티티가 가득 담긴 타이틀곡을 가지고 왔다.
“Anywhere you go, I’ll be there”
수많은 별이 마치 너인 것 같아
또 다른 타이틀곡 I’ll Be There은 밴드 사운드를 기반으로 제이창의 매력적인 음색과 소울풀한 보컬의 에너지가 돋보이는 곡이다. 이 곡은 중독성이 강하고 들을수록 기분이 좋아지는 청량한 곡으로, 자연스럽게 리듬을 타게 되며 누구나 쉽게 따라 부를 수 있는 것이 특징인 곡이다.
수록곡인 ‘Up To You’와 자작곡인 ‘Sunlight’를 통해서 제이의 싱어송라이터로서의 면모를 엿볼 수 있다.
