메가 크리에이터 김계란이 기획한 ‘최애의 아이들’ 프로젝트를 통해 탄생한 밴드 ‘QWER’이 첫 싱글 ‘Harmony from Discord’를 발매하고 데뷔한다. 그룹명 QWER은 QWERTY 키보드 배열과 한 온라인 게임의 스킬 배치 순서인 QWER에서 비롯되었으며, 인기 크리에이터 쵸단(Q)과 마젠타(W), 틱톡 400만 팔로워를 소유한 히나(E), 일본 아이돌 NMB48 출신 시연(R)까지 각기 다른 개성의 멤버로 구성됐다. 플레이어가 QWER 스킬을 조합하여 게임을 만들어가는 것처럼, 밴드 멤버들은 각자의 매력과 재능을 바탕으로 QWER만의 음악과 이야기를 풀어나갈 예정이다.

첫 싱글 ‘Harmony from Discord’는 “우리들의 하모니는 불협화음으로부터”라는 슬로건을 바탕으로, 서로 다른 삶을 살아왔던 네 명의 멤버들이 QWER이라는 이름 아래 모여 아름다운 하모니를 그려내겠다는 포부를 전한다. 멤버들과의 소중한 인연에서 비롯된 성장 스토리는 물론, 아티스트로서 나아가겠다는 다짐과 톡톡 튀는 감성까지 앨범에 다채롭게 담아 냈다.

‘Discord’는 ‘불협화음’이라는 뜻을 가진 제목으로, 때론 좌충우돌처럼 보이지만 거침없는 매력으로 사람들의 시선을 사로잡겠다는 QWER 멤버들의 당당한 메세지가 담긴 곡이다. 빠르고 에너지 있는 연주와 귀를 사로잡는 경쾌한 기타 리프, 그리고 위트 있는 가사가 인상적이다.
