 자타공인 실력파 밴드 원위(ONEWE)가 데뷔 후 처음 유닛 곡으로 이루어진 스페셜 앨범 [XOXO]를 발매한다.

 

리드미컬하고 중독성 강한 원위 표 청량 사운드의 ‘SALTY BOY’와 분위기를 압도하는 강력한 밴드 사운드의 정석 ‘동서남북 (Omnipresent)’으로 구성되어 있는 스페셜 앨범 [XOXO]는, 원위만의 키치한 모습과 시크한 무드 두 가지 매력을 한 번에 느낄 수 있다.

 

타이틀곡 ‘SALTY BOY’는 2022년 5월에 진행했던 <2nd Live Concert 'O NEW E volution Ⅱ' ENCORE> 공연에서 처음으로 선보였던 멤버 동명과 기욱의 유닛 곡으로, 리드미컬한 드럼 비트와 일렉 기타의 현란한 연주가 사운드를 더욱 풍성하게 만들었으며 투박하면서도 애절한 SALTY BOY의 고백을 전한다.

수록곡 ‘동서남북 (Omnipresent)’은 멤버 하린과 기욱의 유닛 곡으로, 몽환적인 신스 사운드로 시작하는 도입부가 쓸쓸함을 표현하고 후반부로 갈수록 다이나믹 해지는 편곡이 이별 후 그리움을 배가시킨다.
