트리플에스 LOVElution <ↀ>

혁신적인 아이돌. 트리플에스가 8인의 그룹 LOVElution의 베일을 벗었다.

팬들의 투표를 통해 새롭게 팀을 구성하고, 컨셉에 맞춰 다양한 포메이션을 선보이는 혁신적인 아이돌 트리플에스는 다국적 소녀들 LOVElution으로 여름을 장악할 진용을 갖추었다.

첫 티저를 통해 공개한 &#8576; 라는 코드는 앨범명 <ↀ:MUHAN>으로 이어졌고 그 뜻은 소녀들의 숫자 8이자 무한대의 가능성을 담고 있다. 앨범 또한 8개의 트랙을 가득 채우며 트리플에스만이 들려줄 수 있는 유니크한 음악을 완성했다.

1번 트랙 ‘&#8576;’은 앨범 <ASSEMBLE>의 마지막 트랙 ‘초월’로부터 시작한다. ‘초월’의 허밍은 비트로 변주되고 소현과 다현의 목소리를 통해 앨범의 시작을 알린다.

타이틀 곡 ‘Girls’ Capitalism’은 자본주의 사회 속에 살고 있는 소녀들의 현실적인 생각을 노래한다. 외모나 자신을 꾸미는 것도 중요하지만 그러려면 무엇보다 돈이 필요하고 자립적인 능력을 통해 나만의 미래를 만들어 간다는 내용을 담았다. 트리플에스의 시그니처인 중독성 있는 훅을 통해 귀를 잡아 끌고 펑키한 기타 사운드를 메인으로 한 청량한 리드 보컬이 곡을 극대화한다. ‘Generation’을 만든 EL CAPITXN과 Venders의 프로듀싱으로 힘을 실었다.

특히 서양의 감각을 따르지 않고 서울이라는 도시의 정서를 담아내며 팬들의 사랑을 받았던 트리플에스만의 뮤직비디오는 더욱 확장되어 “Mad Money Club”이라는 자본주의 컨셉을 위트있게 그려냈다.

커플링 트랙 ‘복합성 (Complexity)’은 간절히 원했던 사랑이 시작되자마자 마음이 식어버리는 복잡한 감정의 순간을 21세기 New Jack Swing 음악으로 표현했다.

‘Black Soul Dress’는 트리플에스의 멤버 소현이 프로듀싱한 Future Bass 트랙이다. 트리플에스에 입단하면서부터 프로듀서로서 캐릭터를 알렸던 소현의 재능이 ‘Black Soul Dress’로 더욱 발현된다. 블랙 소울 드레스라는 코드를 통해 주변의 시선을 신경 쓰지 않으며 진정한 나를 찾아가는 과정을 담았다.

‘Seoul Sonyo Sound’와 ‘Cry Baby’는 정반대의 정서를 갖고 있는 두 곡이다. ‘Cry Baby’는 경쾌한 리듬에 캐치한 멜로디. 그리고 지금의 눈물이 내일을 빛낼 거야라는 희망을 통해 지금의 어려움을 위로한다. 하지만 ‘Seoul Sonyo Sound’는 서울에 살고 있는 작은 소녀들의 외로운 정서를 노래한다. ‘Cry Baby’같은 음악이 과도한 희망과 밝음을 통해 현실의 도피처가 되어주었다면 ‘Seoul Sonyo Sound’는 외로움과 절망 속에서 피어나는 작은 불빛을 비춘다.

‘Speed Love’는 망설임 없이 사랑에 빠져버리고 싶은 맘을 Liquid DnB의 장르 위에서 질주하듯 표현했다.

앨범을 닫는 곡 ‘Number 8’는 가야금과 전통북 등의 가장 한국적인 악기와 서연, 카에데의 신비로운 목소리를 통해 완성한 트랙이다. 세계 속에서 K-POP의 근본을 통해 새로운 미래에 다가서겠다는 포부를 담았다.

2023년 8월 17일 트리플에스 LOVElution, 2023년 10월 4일 트리플에스 EVOLution을 통해 새로운 역사가 될 소녀들은 준비를 마쳤다.
