WOOSUNG - 4444 (JEWEL RED VER., JEWEL BLUE VER. /랜덤)

"4444" marks a profound chapter in WOOSUNG's musical journey, diving deep into the realms of self-revelation and inner contemplation. This 8-track album is his second full-length release, following the success of MOTH, which radiated inspiration and courage outwardly. 4444, however, signals a shift toward introspection and clarity, exploring how WOOSUNG perceives and inhabits the world.

This album embodies practicality, stability, and hard work, yet it wrestles with the tension between security and the risk of unconventional ideas. As WOOSUNG reflects, “The number four has always held a quiet, guiding presence in my life.” This symbolic number weaves through the album, grounding it in themes of acceptance, vulnerability, and balance.

In this album, WOOSUNG ventures into new sonic territory, experimenting with electronic sounds to complement his signature style. This bold exploration adds a fresh layer of complexity to his music, blending electronic beats with emotional depth.

Through cinematic soundscapes and poignant lyrics, 4444 emerges as an ode to self. No longer a lost soul, WOOSUNG embraces both clarity and self-deprecation, balancing the dichotomy of grunge and luxury. Against the backdrop of four “translucent” walls, he steps into the vulnerability that becomes the foundation of his exploration.

WOOSUNG invites listeners on a serene and composed journey of self-exploration, where memories linger like whispers, and peace is found in solitude. This album is not about chaos but about understanding and embracing the self with grace and acceptance.
